I see a lot of people using green tip but Idk if I should also be doing that. I want to shoot steel targets at 50-300 yards.

Don't buy remanufactured stuff. Just buy ammo from reputable well known manufacturers. But if you take it from me, i'd use Pmc xtac 55gr 5.56
