How do most get started for cowboy action shooting? Is it worth the investment?

Getting into Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) is pretty straightforward, but it does take some investment. The best way to start is by finding a local club through the SASS website and attending a match.
Do some research on nearby clubs and show up to a match and introduce yourself, and most folks will be happy to help you get started. I lucked out with two great clubs in my area. My club even covers SASS-approved classes for members.
It’s a great community, so check out a match and see if it’s for you!
