What does it mean when a revolver is double action?
Just curious..
Double-action revolver is just where you can pull the trigger and fire, no need to manually cock the hammer first.
Most modern double-action revolvers can also be fired in single-action (SA) mode if you wanna manually cock the hammer yourself
If you're newer to revolvers, DA is great for defensive shooting because it's simpler and quicker in a high-stress situation. But it does take a bit more finger strength and practice due to the longer, heavier pull... all a learning curve tho. I'd test it out at your local range
