What’s your AR platform of choice? Budget option? mid-tier? high-tier options?
Ruger AR-556 with a lightweight Vortex optic. I wanted something simple and dependable for coyote and small game. Not tacticool, not modded out, but it works. Took a spill down a muddy ravine last winter and it kept on ticking.
SOLGW all the way. I shoot regularly and value no-BS reliability, i’ve had too many mid-tier rifles give me feed issues over time. Yeah, it cost more up front but it’s peace of mind. 13.7” barrel, Surefire Warcomp pinned, Hodge rail, and a lot of rounds downrange.
My go-to is a lightweight 16” upper with a pencil barrel and no forward assist. Lower is a KE Arms monolithic. It’s built to be fast and light, just for ringing steel fast. Fun gun, nothing crazy
