I am planning to purchase a new pistol. Right now, I have a Baretta 92FS for home defense. I am not too knowledgeable when it comes to the gun market to be quite frank. I don't want anything extravagant just another pistol part of my defense arsenal collection. Preferable something smaller.
Oh yes! The Baretta PX 4 Strom Compact is smaller, which is something I would recommend. The Sig Sauer might be a little more expensive but could be what you are looking for. The p229 is probably my most carried gun due to its size, but I will say it is quite bulky which can be a hassle. For me in particular I make it work. Sounds like you are just looking for something to keep at home am I right? If so, it is a dependable gun which is very user friendly.
Hi Mulan, thank you for replying back to me. I was doing some research into the Sig Sauer. I also was really looking into the Walther PPQ M2, which really captured my interest. I have been just searching through many blogs on what is my best option.
The PPQ is better in every way to your Beretta: smaller, has a better trigger, good grip texture, and picatinny rails that work with plenty of aftermarket accessories. The only thing the Beretta has over the PPQ might be its appearance, as some people find the PPQ ugly (if appearance matters to you). I know you weren't comparing to the gun you have now, I kind of wanted to. Just offering some helpful insight :).

Walther PDP is quite the piece of work. It replaced the PPQ, and it is a must have home defense gun. The ergonomics is amazing and has easy control. The rise from the muzzle fire ain't too much for me. If you don't think it is too snappy then y'all gonna have some fun with this one. I will say, you just gotta learn on to grip the thing and you will not find a faster striker pistol.
